# AgenBase > AgenBase is an AI chatbot for websites. A business adds its documents, web pages or pasted text, and the chatbot answers visitors from that content, with a source for each answer. It also collects contact details with an AI summary of what the visitor wants, and books appointments in the chat. It installs with one line of HTML. AgenBase is for any business with a website: online stores, software companies, agencies, clinics, schools and service businesses. No coding is needed beyond pasting the script tag. Plans are billed monthly in US dollars through Polar. ## Plans - Free ($0/month): 1 chatbot, 50 messages per month, 3 knowledge sources, 500,000 characters, and 2 team members. Answers with sources. No credit card needed. - Pro ($29/month): 3 chatbots, 1,500 messages per month, 20 knowledge sources, 10,000,000 characters, 500 imported website pages, and 10 team members. Extra messages cost $8 per 1,000, with a monthly safety cap of 4,500 messages. - Business ($99/month): 10 chatbots, 6,000 messages per month, 100 knowledge sources, 40,000,000 characters, 2000 imported website pages, and 25 team members. Extra messages cost $7 per 1,000, with a monthly safety cap of 18,000 messages. Includes everything in Pro with higher limits. - Enterprise: custom volume and limits, with priority support. Contact the team. ## Billing and limits - Monthly, in US dollars: Plans are billed every month through Polar. There is no yearly plan at the moment. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel any time from the billing page. - What counts as a message: One AI reply to a real visitor on your website. Testing in the dashboard playground is always free, and instant replies to plain greetings or thanks don't count. - What happens when you go over: Paid plans keep answering past the included messages. Extra messages are billed automatically at $8 per 1,000 on Pro and $7 per 1,000 on Business, up to 3 times the included amount in a month. - The Free plan stops, it never bills: After 50 messages the assistant pauses until the next month. No credit card is needed, and nothing is charged. - Teammates are free: Invite as many teammates as you need. There is no per-seat charge, only the plan and any extra messages. - What Free includes: Answers from your own content with sources, analytics, voice, all languages, the full chat design and free testing. Paid plans add the contact form, bookings and the calendar, audio and web page import, CSV export, no badge, the dashboard assistant, priority support and higher limits. - Monthly messages: Free — After 50 messages the chatbot stops answering until the 1st of next month, or right away if you upgrade. Paid — Keeps answering and bills extra messages as usage, until 3 times the included amount. Then it pauses until next month. - Chatbots: Free — Creating a second chatbot asks you to upgrade. Paid — Creating more than your plan allows asks you to upgrade or contact us. - Knowledge sources and size: Free — Adding a source over the limit is refused, with a message. Existing sources keep working. Paid — Same, at the higher limits of your plan. - Whole-website import: Free — Not available. Add single pages, upload files or paste text instead. Paid — Available, one website per chatbot. - Audio sources: Free — Not available. Upload files or paste text instead. Paid — Available. - Contact form, bookings and calendar: Free — Not available. Visitors can still chat and get answers. Paid — Available. - Lead CSV export: Free — Not available. Contacts stay viewable in the dashboard. Paid — Up to 100 a day on Pro and 300 on Business, free. - Dashboard assistant: Free — Not included. Paid — Up to 100 requests a day on Pro and 300 on Business, for the whole team. ## Frequently asked questions - Test messages in the dashboard playground are free and never count toward the monthly message limit (up to 20 a day on Free, 100 on Pro and 300 on Business). - Greetings, thanks and goodbyes that receive an instant reply are not counted as AI messages. - Paid plans include the contact form, in-chat bookings, a calendar, audio sources, web page import, contact CSV export, removal of the AgenBase badge, the dashboard assistant and priority support. - Paid plans are billed monthly in US dollars through Polar. There is no yearly billing currently. Plans can be upgraded, downgraded or cancelled from the billing page. - Each workspace has its own plan.
