How to add an AI chatbot to your WooCommerce shop

WooCommerce runs on WordPress, so the chatbot installs the same way: one line in your site footer. Train it on your shipping, returns and product pages first.

About 10 minutes · No coding beyond pasting one line

Step by step

  1. 1

    Create your chatbot

Sign up to AgenBase, add your shop's policy pages and documents, test it in the playground and click Go live.

  2. 2

    Copy your snippet

On the chatbot's Install tab, copy the script tag.

  3. 3

    Install a code plugin

In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New, search for “WPCode”, then install and activate it.

  4. 4

    Paste and activate

Create an HTML snippet, paste the script tag, choose Auto Insert → Site Wide Footer, switch it to Active and save.

Check it works

Open your shop and a product page in a new tab. The chat button appears in the bottom corner.

Troubleshooting and questions

I installed it but nothing appears

The chat bubble only shows once the chatbot is live. Open the chatbot in AgenBase, click Go live, then reload your site. Ad blockers can also hide chat widgets, so try a private window.

I still see the old page

Clear your caching plugin's cache, and your host's cache if it has one, after saving the snippet.

It shows on one domain but not another

If you set allowed domains on the chatbot's Install tab, the widget only loads on those domains and their subdomains. Add every domain your site uses, or leave the list empty.

What does it cost?

AgenBase is free for 50 messages a month, with no credit card. Paid plans start at $29 a month for 1,500 messages and 3 chatbots.
